Flat-pressed or finger-shaped charcoal designed for hookah and shisha use. Formulated for long, even burn with minimal ash and near-odourless ignition — preferred by hookah lounges and retail buyers in the Middle East, Europe and the Americas.
BBQ & grilling
Premium Egyptian hardwood lump charcoal for the European, North American and Gulf BBQ market. High fixed carbon, very low ash, quick-light properties. Available as coarse lump (30–150 mm) or restaurant-grade (50–100 mm) packed in branded or generic retail bags.
Premium / organic
Made from compressed coconut shell, this is the choice of premium hookah lounge operators worldwide. Extremely low ash, very high fixed carbon, no taste or smell. Supplied as flat square cubes or finger-shaped cubes in 1 kg and 3 kg retail boxes.
Food service
Uniform pillow or hexagonal briquettes for food-service grilling and industrial use. Consistent size and heat output make them ideal for commercial kitchens, catering companies and outdoor-cooking retail. Available in private-label or generic kraft bags.
Quality & compliance
Every charcoal export from EGEX is tested before loading. We measure ash content, moisture percentage, fixed carbon, volatile matter and calorific value for each production batch — and the results are included in the shipment documents so buyers can verify against their own lab on arrival.
For European buyers, we supply products with REACH-compliant phytosanitary documentation. For Middle Eastern and Gulf buyers, Halal certificates are available on request. All shipments include a Certificate of Origin from the Egyptian Ministry of Trade.

Yes. You can mix shisha charcoal, hardwood lump and briquettes in a single 40-foot container as long as each line meets its individual minimum pallet quantity. Specify the product split in your quote request.
Yes. We offer private-label retail bags (with your artwork), plain kraft bags, and neutral export cartons. Artwork files should be provided in PDF or AI format. A small setup fee applies for new print runs.
For stock products, loading typically occurs 7–14 days from signed contract and payment confirmation. Custom-pack orders may require 3–4 weeks. Contact us and we will confirm current availability and lead time.
Some destination countries require fumigation of wooden or plant-based products. We will advise whether fumigation is required for your destination and include the fumigation certificate in your shipping documentation as standard where needed.
